How Does It Work?
Step One.
All tweets are NOT created equal. All day, every day, we ingest millions of tweets on thousands of stocks, weeding out content from fakers and knuckleheads to identify the most relevant commentary.
Step Two.
Using some fairly sophisticated data science – like SMACD™, the social media moving average convergence/divergence (pronounced smack-dee) – we compare the real-time social media conversation vs. historical patterns.
Stocks experiencing an unusual spike (or drop-off) in volume or intensity of tweets are flagged

But timing isn’t everything. After the machines generate a list of media-impacted stocks, humans (recovering Wall Street analysts, actually) apply their know-how to the algorithmic output to surface actionable ideas.
We send this curated list of ideas to the home page every 15 minutes. Soon a premium option will send these ideas as frequently as every 60 seconds to your phone, if you’re up for that.
